About The Position

Bryant Consultants, an Aperture company, is looking for a Forensic Architectural Engineer with building envelope background for our Carrollton, TX location! You will be joining our team and providing high-level inspection, building envelope, project management services to our diverse client base; and mentoring junior staff. The ideal candidate will possess a detailed understanding of waterproofing, air barrier, and roofing systems; familiarity with REVIT; flexibility to work collaboratively in a team environment or independently from start to finish, based on project needs.

Requirements

  • Project Management experience, and professional experience as either an Architect, PE, or RRC.
  • Public and private sector project experience.
  • Interest in marketing and Business Development.
  • Dependable, knowledgeable, and reliable, pays high attention to detail and takes the initiative in their work.
  • Self-motivated and can manage their time efficiently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with clients and team members.
  • A basic understanding of how to navigate in REVIT or produce drawings/details preferred.
  • The ability to sit at a desk up to 80% of the time
  • The ability to stand and walk up to 20% of the time
  • The ability to be confined in a small area, such as a cubicle
  • The ability to operate phones and computers

Nice To Haves

  • Desired certifications: RRO/RRC, QAP, CxA+BE, BECx, certified IR Thermographer, certified Air Barrier Tester.

Responsibilities

  • Managing project schedule, scope, and fee to ensure successful projects and satisfied clients.
  • Direct and conduct forensic investigations including analysis and report preparation, and field exploration and testing related to a variety of projects including new construction and restoration projects.
  • Preparation of observation and forensic reports and proposals.
  • Manage client relationships including basic BD efforts.
  • Attend site meetings and address CA tasks such as submittal review and answering RFIs.
  • Mentor Jr Envelope Staff.
