About The Position

As a Forensic Accounting Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in leading high-impact investigations, supporting litigation strategy, and uncovering complex financial activity. With a primary focus on Florida family law matters, this role involves performing complex forensic accounting and financial analyses in connection with marital dissolution, alimony, child support, equitable distribution, and related disputes. You will work closely with Florida family law attorneys, clients, and expert witnesses, and is expected to operate with a high degree of independence while supporting sophisticated, litigation‑driven engagements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in forensic accounting, with significant exposure to family law matters.
  • Strong understanding of Florida family law financial issues, including equitable distribution and income determination
  • Experience working under litigation deadlines and with incomplete records.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills, including pivot tables, complex modeling and data analysis.
  • Reside in the South Florida area as the role is hybrid.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA, CFF, CFE or ABV certification highly preferred.
  • Experience supporting expert testimony in Florida family law cases and exposure to business valuation in a litigation context, highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Family Law Forensic Accounting Perform forensic analyses in Florida dissolution of marriage cases , including tracing of marital vs. non‑marital assets under Florida’s equitable distribution framework.
  • Analyze income for alimony and child support purposes , including normalization of business income and identification of personal expenses paid through closely held entities.
  • Prepare marital balance sheets , lifestyle analyses, and cash‑flow analyses.
  • Review bank statements, credit cards, tax returns, loan activity, and business records to identify undisclosed income, assets, dissipation, or irregular transactions.
  • Valuation & Litigation Support Support business valuation analyses for closely held businesses in family law matters, including financial statement normalization and cash‑flow analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of expert reports, schedules, and exhibits used in mediation, deposition, and trial.
  • Review and critique opposing expert reports , with a focus on income determination and valuation methodologies.
  • Assist attorneys with deposition and trial preparation , including drafting deposition questions and preparing financial demonstratives.
  • Client & Attorney Interaction Communicate directly with Florida family law attorneys and clients regarding document requests, findings, and engagement status.
  • Participate in meetings, mediations, and settlement conferences to explain financial analyses clearly and effectively.
  • Provide litigation support during trial as needed.
  • Engagement Management & Mentorship Manage multiple engagements simultaneously while meeting court‑driven deadlines.
  • Maintain organized, defensible workpapers suitable for litigation and expert review.
