About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Shop Foreman to lead and support our team of Service Technicians in troubleshooting, diagnosing, adjusting, repairing, and overhauling heavy-duty diesel trucks, motorhomes, and a wide range of diesel engines. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership, workflow coordination, and quality control. A day in the life may include: Supervising and mentoring technicians to ensure efficient, high-quality repairs and adherence to safety standards. Verifying vehicle performance by overseeing and, when necessary, conducting test drives. Leading advanced troubleshooting, diagnostic testing, and electronic repair processes. Assigning work, prioritizing jobs, and ensuring timely completion of service tasks. Overseeing routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, lubrication, brake adjustments, and wheel alignments. Guiding and assisting in the disassembly and overhaul of engines, pumps, generators, transmissions, clutches, and rear ends. Inspecting completed work to ensure proper reassembly, safety compliance, and operational reliability. Ensuring all shop equipment is properly maintained and operated according to guidelines. Maintaining a safe work environment by monitoring protective guards, safety devices, and shop practices. Collaborating with management to improve shop efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction. Driving continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, performance, and service quality.

Requirements

  • 5+ years working as a diesel truck mechanic or a combination of varying education/experience may be considered to meet this qualification.
  • Extensive knowledge in the repair and maintenance of diesel engines & power trains is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • ASE certification is preferred.
