Foreman, Wet Utility

About the position

The Utility Foreman position is a full-time, non-exempt role that involves overseeing excavation and installation of underground utilities. The foreman will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures while managing a team and maintaining equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach to training team members and ensuring quality control in all operations.

Responsibilities

• Excavates trenches for water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer
• Installs trench boxes as necessary
• Operates equipment in compliance with Muller's safety policies and OSHA procedures
• Ensure proper excavation & compaction procedures are performed
• Ensures all equipment is maintained by performing daily equipment inspections & grease equipment at required intervals
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of underground utilities
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required to complete the job
• Manage quality control and production
• Train team members as needed in a hands-on manner

Requirements

• Must be able to communicate directly with clients
• 1 year of experience or more with wet utility
• Must be able to operate large excavators with precision
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
• Ability to access secured facilities
• High attention to detail
