About The Position

ZACHRY is currently seeking an experienced Industrial Foreman Pipefitter / Welder for AMSTY in St. James, LA. The position involves reading blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, including locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required. The foreman will identify all tools required for tasks and assess safety risks, implementing precautions to eliminate those risks. The role requires an in-depth knowledge of all pipe fitting processes and the ability to tactically plan operations for scheduling workloads efficiently, utilizing assets and resources to minimize costs. The foreman will manage the crew regarding processes, scheduling, costs, employee relations issues, and employment needs.

Requirements

• Must have 5 years working as an Industrial Pipefitter/Welder.
• Must have 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Proficient in managing crew, time, and costs.
• Good leadership and communication skills.
• Demonstrated industrial construction/maintenance history experience.
• Ability to read prints and construction drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
• Knowledge of pipe fitting processes for industrial piping and boiler components.
• Organization and time management skills.
• Good problem-solving abilities.
• Good aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills with co-workers and supervisors.
