About The Position

The Foreman is responsible for overseeing a crew and/or contract staff in the normal day-to-day operations of company wells. The focus is on striving to achieve top quartile EHS performance while maximizing operational efficiencies and asset potential. Supervises the development and monitoring of the Measurement enhancement and optimization efforts. Works in close collaboration with engineering, field and EHS staff.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of BLM requirements.
  • Calibration and maintenance of Totalflow, ROC, and SCADA Pac electronic measurement devices.
  • Troubleshooting of electronic flow data.
  • Basic working knowledge of 12vdc and 24vdc electrical and electronic principles.
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of instruments, control, and electrical systems.
  • Proficient level of skill in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Minimum 8 years of oil and gas experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience with industry/company software including, but not limited to, AVM, Wellview, and SCADA.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in multi-disciplinary team meetings, providing production operations discipline specific input
  • Develops good relationships with and effectively manages contractors and suppliers
  • Handles invoice management
  • Provides production operations discipline input into the budget process and collaborates with superintendent and management to develop budget estimates
  • Confers with engineering personnel regarding status of projects and field related problems
  • Ensures all operations are scheduled and conducted in such a way to minimize delays, safety issues, technical issues and risks
  • Confirms well site contractors are properly approved with SCM Group
  • Actively participate in monthly safety meetings and lead meetings as needed
  • Provide relief for the other foreman as needed
  • On site supervision of contractors during different phases of operations-Completions, construction, flowback, production- as needed.
  • Supervises and ensures performance is of the highest quality for all direct reports
  • Participates in the performance reviews and personnel development efforts for all direct reports
  • Remains current in the application of the latest proven technologies and methods used for their specific operation discipline in the production of oil and gas assets
  • Regular field trips with ability to work extended hours when required
  • Conducts business with the highest ethical standards
  • Supervise measurement crews in the field.
  • Schedule and maintain GC sampling program for EFM measurement.
  • Perform measurement calibrations in accordance with industry/AGA measurement standards.
  • Perform calculations for flow coefficients, gas & oil volumes, and orifice plate sizes.
  • Detect measurement errors and correct the meter as necessary while maintaining detailed supporting documentation.
  • Responsible for Flowcal data gathering and reporting.
  • Monitor and report major changes in daily volumes in accordance with measurement/ management guidelines.
  • Periodically check gas & oil throughput at key CDP points to determine correctness of production volumes at field locations.
  • Installation and troubleshooting of measurement equipment
  • Order, receive and stock parts associated with Measurement equipment.
  • Assist with reports on measurement changes and adjustments.
  • Required to maintain compliance with all Federal and State agencies and assist with audits as requested.
  • Witness meter calibrations with in-house and third-party gathering companies.
  • Observe and report all dangerous and damaged conditions pertaining to meters and adjacent areas.
  • Respond to call out requests and work irregular hours as needed for maintenance.
  • Work and operate a vehicle safely in all-weather conditions to drive to oil and gas equipment located in rural/open range country.
  • The ability to traverse uneven terrain and climb metal stairs under all weather conditions using appropriate safety measures.
