About The Position

The Industrial Instrument Foreman is responsible for overseeing the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical wiring, conduit, equipment, and fixtures within an industrial setting. This role requires extensive knowledge of instrumentation work, including underground cable and conduit installation, as well as the ability to lead a crew of journeyman and helpers in daily operations. The foreman must ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain accurate records of operations.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as an Industrial Journeyman Instrument Fitter.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics proficiently.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience working on high voltage systems.
• Knowledge of basic electrical theory, including ohm's law.
• Proficient in using specialized electrical tools such as ohm meters and multi-meters.
• Mechanical and electrical knowledge of components in an industrial facility.
• Ability to work at heights in excess of 300 ft.
• Reliable transportation and all required tools.

Nice To Haves

• Current Zachry or Zachry ROF'ed employee.
• Licensed Journeyman Electrician.
• NCCER certification for Industrial Journeyman Electrician.
• Formal/technical education.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical wiring and equipment.
• Manage and lead a crew of journeyman and helpers on daily and weekly operations.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics proficiently.
• Maintain records and report on time, cost codes, equipment, and personnel records.
• Install and modify cable tray using hand and power tools.
• Bend and cut conduit using various tools and devices.
• Perform cable pulling methods to run cable through specified pathways.
• Troubleshoot equipment and systems for electrical malfunctions.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and lock out tag out systems.
