Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or completion of trade program or technical school; college degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial building construction or related industry/trade; must be fully competent in refrigeration installation.
  • Journeyman Card required.
  • Knowledge of construction principles and practices, including efficient use of labor hours.
  • Ability to organize tasks and use good judgment in making work assignments.
  • Ability to give clear instructions and guidance as needed.
  • Ability to maintain project labor hours within acceptable limits and request change orders as needed.
  • Ability to ensure safe work practices and compliance with Safety policies.
  • Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and applicable laws.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Track record of punctuality and dependability.
  • Ability to use computer tools including E-Mail, Word, and Project Planning Software (Projectmates).
  • Ability to manage time, delegate assignments, and follow through to ensure good results.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Familiarity with project management software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and mentor the project crew.
  • Prioritize and delegate responsibilities.
  • Communicate with tradespeople on the job site.
  • Track project schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Serve as Lead Technical resource on assigned projects.
  • Report on job status and performance.
  • Control job costs.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with peers, customers, GCs, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure the use of PPE and safe behavior by all employees.
  • Ensure compliance with Installation policies and procedures.
  • Oversee 3rd party resources as needed.
  • Direct and oversee the work of Apprentices and journeymen assigned to specific projects.
  • Work out of town, nights, and sometimes weekends.
