About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage Foreman / Field Superintendent / Field Supervisor to lead commercial installation projects for fire alarm, life safety, and low voltage systems. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on installation expertise, and the ability to manage field operations for medium to large-scale commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate has journeyman-level experience in installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of low voltage systems and thrives in a fast-paced construction environment.

Requirements

  • Journeyman-level experience in low voltage installation, fire alarm systems, or life safety systems
  • Proven experience as a Foreman, Field Supervisor, or Superintendent on commercial construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA codes, fire alarm systems, and low voltage technologies
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
  • Experience coordinating with multiple trades in a construction environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Applicants must meet requirements in relation to background and driving record.
  • Must be proficient in the use and application of industry-related equipment, including MS Office.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
  • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing a ladder, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
  • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools as required and lifting up to 75lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the installation of fire alarm systems, life safety systems, and low voltage infrastructure in commercial buildings
  • Oversee daily field operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to code
  • Provide hands-on support with installation, system startup, troubleshooting, and project closeout
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, general contractors, and other trades to maintain project schedules and workflow
  • Execute project plans including equipment delivery, installation, commissioning, and final inspections
  • Troubleshoot and resolve field issues by evaluating multiple technical solutions
  • Interface with code officials and inspectors to secure permits, ensure compliance, and address installation requirements
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, submittals, and technical documentation
  • Maintain clear communication with customers, contractors, and internal teams
  • Provide regular project status updates to leadership
  • Ensure all required documentation, reports, and company paperwork are completed accurately
