Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience as an electrician or similar craft
  • Strong working knowledge of the electrical craft
  • Highly qualified journeyman electrician with knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Necessary licenses for the jurisdiction of work
  • Ability to set standards of excellence in leadership, safety, quality, and productivity
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements

  • State Electrical License
  • NCCER Electrical certifications
  • NCCER Electrical and Instrumentation Technician certification
  • NCCER Pipeline Electrical and Instrumentation Technician certification
  • NCCER Project Supervision certification

Responsibilities

  • Perform all principal duties and accountabilities of craft workers under supervision
  • Lead and support safety processes and programs
  • Engage with the work team to achieve zero injuries
  • Understand scheduling, material control, and performance reporting
  • Create and execute a one-week schedule
  • Set and execute crew goals based on project unit rates
  • Review crew's timecards for accuracy
  • Report accidents and participate in investigations
  • Lead daily pre-job safety planning
  • Identify and mitigate safety hazards
  • Implement lockout/tag out procedures
  • Communicate effectively with team members
  • Provide on-the-job training to crew members
  • Conduct toolbox meetings to discuss safety and work scope
  • Inspect work for compliance with plans and standards
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of construction equipment
  • Complete performance reviews of craft workers
