About The Position

OnSite Partners, LLC is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Foreman to lead all field electrical activities across renewable energy, distributed generation, and transmission infrastructure projects. This role supervises electrical crews, supports project planning, coordinates construction phases, and ensures all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable codes, engineering documents, and industry standards. The Electrical Construction Foreman serves as the on-site technical expert for installation, commissioning support, troubleshooting, and quality assurance across multiple voltage classes. This position reports to the Director of Construction.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Electrician license (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of electrical construction experience in industrial or power generation environments
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience
  • Experience leading electrical construction phases, energization support, or system shutdowns
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems across multiple voltage classes
  • Proficiency in reading electrical drawings, one-lines, schematics, and construction documents
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds
  • Work safely at heights and in confined spaces
  • Perform outdoor work in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, stand, and various physical positions for extended periods as required
  • Ability to respond to after-hours construction needs during critical phases

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in renewable energy or utility-scale electrical construction
  • Experience with protective relays, medium-voltage terminations, or substation construction
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • NFPA 70E training
  • Experience managing subcontractors
  • MSHA Part 46 certification

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise electrical technician crews during day-to-day project execution
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate field work to meet project milestones
  • Provide clear daily direction and task assignments to field teams
  • Conduct pre-task plans, job briefings, and daily safety meetings
  • Support hiring, training, and performance review processes for field personnel
  • Ensure adherence to construction drawings, specifications, and engineering requirements
  • Maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards across all electrical construction activities
  • Oversee installation of: Wind turbine electrical systems and equipment Solar PV electrical systems and equipment Reciprocating generator electrical systems and equipment Battery energy storage system (BESS) electrical equipment Fuel cell electrical infrastructure and equipment Substations, transformers, switchgear, breakers, and protective relay panels Other electrical systems as project needs require
  • Manage construction activities across various AC and DC voltage classes: Low-voltage control and communication systems 480V–600V power distribution Medium-voltage systems High-voltage systems (as qualified)
  • Interpret and build from one-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and construction drawings
  • Lead installation, terminations, testing, and commissioning preparation including: Insulation resistance testing Torque verification Functional testing Wiring verification and quality checks
  • Coordinate and verify proper LOTO procedures and arc‑flash safety measures
  • Identify and troubleshoot electrical installation issues during construction
  • Support project engineering and commissioning teams
  • Manage subcontractors, tooling, materials, and onsite logistics
  • Track progress and document work performed
  • Travel to project sites as required (≤25% travel expected)
  • Develop construction-related shutdown and energization work plans
  • Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment for cutovers and energization activities
  • Ensure proper safety controls, testing procedures, and startup readiness
  • Support safe energization and turnover to operations teams
