Job Description: We are growing and seeking a few skilled and experienced people to join our Landscape Construction team in key positions of Leadman and Foreman. Direct and oversee 1–3 crews on assigned job sites. Assign daily tasks, set priorities, and monitor progress. Train and mentor crew members in proper techniques, equipment use, and safety practices. Ensure crews maintain productivity and meet project goals. Interpret plans, specifications, and layouts provided by the Superintendent. Perform site layout and marking to guide installation. Coordinate material deliveries and ensure proper staging on site. Operate and oversee use of equipment (skid steer, excavator, compactor, etc.). Ensure work is completed to design specifications and within budgeted hours. Quality Control Conduct daily inspections of work performed by crews. Identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions immediately. Maintain high standards of workmanship in planting, grading, irrigation, and hardscape installation. Document progress and report issues to the Superintendent. Safety Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations on all job sites. Conduct daily safety checks of equipment and vehicles. Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings with crews. Report and assist in investigating accidents or near-misses. Communication & Coordination Serve as the primary point of contact between crew members and the Superintendent. Provide daily updates on progress, challenges, and resource needs. Coordinate with other trades to ensure site readiness and minimize conflicts. Respond promptly to Superintendent or client requests.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; trade school or construction coursework preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial landscape construction, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of landscape construction practices, irrigation systems, grading, and plant materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and layouts.
  • Proficiency in basic construction math and measurements.
  • Valid Driver's license and ability to operate construction equipment
