We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade. Job Summary: The Foreign Exchange Senior Analyst / Analyst role is responsible for providing support to treasury, finance, and global business units for all of PayPal's daily FX pricing and trading strategies. This role is part of the FX Treasury Team that has primary responsibility of daily FX pricing and trading to support PayPal cross border transactions, cash flow hedging, balance sheet hedging, and liquidity management. The position will require detailed analysis of data for the purpose of aiding trade execution decisions and the measurement of financial performance for all FX activities amongst other Treasury responsibilities. The role will also support a risk management and compliance function. This position is in Austin.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years Finance/Treasury experience
• Degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA/CFA Preferred
• Demonstrate the ability to perform data analysis and research within data files and other data source.
• Experience and familiarity with handling large data sets; prior experience in Tableau, SQL and Python coding is desired
• Strong business acumen (including understanding of financial statements and basic accounting principles)
• Collaborative, highly analytical individual and initiative-taker who excels at learning new processes and business functions
• Experience in FX operations at a global financial institution will be an advantage
• Broad Treasury background preferred
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Strong analytical and project management skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel (including VBA)
• Python, Tableau, and SQL familiarity will be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cash management and forecasting activities to ensure operational liquidity
• Monitor and manage cash positions to optimize investment opportunities
• Review global bank account balances to support global Treasury and PayPal Business Units liquidity requirements
• Support updates/enhancements to systems and processes
• Develop and support Treasury policies, procedures, and controls
• Monitor FX exposures; manage and execute daily FX trades including derivatives hedging with bank counterparties
• Prepare data reports in support of monthly and quarterly controls
• Assist with execution of Transformation initiatives
• Identify and recommend process improvements for area of responsibility
• Design and implement dashboard-based analytics platform and tools
• Support all aspects of day-to-day FX activities.
• Extract relevant internal and external data, analyze, organize, and present them into formats or models that can be used for FX trading, reporting, or performance measurement purposes
• Assist FX team in design and implementation of evolving foreign exchange pricing and trading systems including reporting and analytical framework to support FX operations, projects, and program changes
• Support FX activities and execution of trades, across our different FX hedging programs
• Implement best execution practices to optimize trading performance
• Coordinate with planning function on actual and forecasted FX flows
• Provide foreign exchange expertise to internal, cross functional teams who consume FX rates for various applications
• Collaborate within FX team to analyze FX counterparty performance
• Partner with treasury team on all operational aspects of FX to support corporate and customer needs
• Analyze cross border flows from other PayPal businesses as they expand globally - Xoom, Braintree, Hyperwallet and other future acquisitions.
• Assist in expanding currencies supported by PayPal for all its business needs
• Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis on various FX related inquiries
• Partner with product and pricing teams on cross border analysis
• Support all global legal and regulatory requirements
• Provide strategic support for business units where possible by leveraging FX and treasury experience
