About The Position

The Foreign Exchange Analyst is responsible for assisting foreign exchange clients, managing client foreign currency accounts, pricing, clearing and settling trades, providing trade confirmations and periodic valuation reports, assisting with reconciliations of general ledger and foreign currency accounts, monitoring trading activity, and some regulatory reporting.

Requirements

• Banking or financial services experience
• Analytical skills
• High level of attention to detail and ability to explain concepts and transactions
• Initiative, integrity, reliability and ability to meet deadlines
• Demonstrates a client-focused work ethic
• Highly effective and cooperative team player
• Knowledge of accounting principles and foreign exchange risk
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent oral and written communication as well as interpersonal and organizational skills
• Bachelor’s degree; preferred Business focus
• The ideal candidate for this role will have completed college level coursework in International Finance and have some experience in a fast-paced work environment that requires detailed communication and interaction with internal and external clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist with revaluations of Foreign Exchange forward contracts
• Monitor activity in the bank’s foreign currency nostro accounts
• Communicate with customers who have foreign currency accounts and assist with any special handling needs
• Work with internal partners to investigate any reconciliation outages
• Price and settle trades through the FX system, including sending trade confirmations as needed and working with liquidity providers to ensure that appropriate cover is in the accounts
