About The Position

As an Associate Attorney in our foreclosure practice, you will join a team of attorneys representing mortgage lenders and servicers throughout South Carolina in State and Federal Courts in foreclosure and title issue areas of law. Requirements

• J.D from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in the state of South Carolina
• 1-3 years’ experience handling foreclosure work
• Completion of S.C. Rule 403 requirements
• Effective time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex legal and business documents
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with others

Nice To Haves

• Experience with title curative and/or real estate
• Litigation Experience

Responsibilities

• Attend court proceedings (trials, motion hearings, depositions, arbitrations, mediations)
• Draft pleading, motions, discovery, and memoranda of law
• Meet and confer with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel
• Review of residential real estate title searches and loan documents
