About The Position

The Forecast/Planner Analyst is responsible for reviewing large volumes of inventory and sales data to ensure accurate ordering and optimal stocking levels. This individual creates and executes advanced reports and queries to monitor demand versus forecast, establishing priorities and solving complex problems to ensure the company consistently meets customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Analytical Expertise: Strong/Proven analytical skills with experience managing and analyzing large amounts of data.
  • Economic Literacy: Understanding of basic economic principles and a strong background in marketing, business, materials management, or finance.
  • Soft Skills: Self-motivated, assertive, and proactive attitude.
  • Guidance & Problem Solving: Ability to problem solve, take supervision, and take direction from Managers and Senior Buyer Team Leaders.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with others internally and externally at various levels of the organization through clear, concise writing and telephone usage.
  • Workload Management: Ability to handle a volume and mix of assignments daily.
  • Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the US indefinitely without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification: APICS certification (CPIM, CIRM) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Forecast Integrity: Analyze, maintain, and adjust daily forecasts to ensure data integrity and maintain high inventory availability.
  • Aftermarket Planning: Plan, schedule, and coordinate the purchasing of all aftermarket parts needed to meet customer demands.
  • Operational Reporting: Run daily reports to analyze order point items and identify immediate ordering needs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Expeditors, Buyers, and vendors to resolve supply chain issues.
  • Master Data Management: Manage new and existing part numbers, including buyer code changes, "No Longer Available" (NLA) parts, and safety stock/order point setup.
  • Query & Tool Development: Write and maintain queries for availability, open queues, and expedited reports using modern data tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI).
  • Materials Management: Maintain responsibility for all Material Management and availability reports.
  • Strategic Projects: Actively participate in Materials Team special projects and prioritize daily workloads to provide excellent customer service.
  • Purchasing Support: Create Purchase Orders to maintain inventory levels and communicate with Buyers regarding quotes, lead times, and supplier issues.
  • Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong professional relationships with suppliers through constant, clear communication.
  • Business Success: Support company policies and demonstrate concern for the success of the business.
  • Inquiry Resolution: Work customer service inquiries as required
