About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining the monthly demand planning process, primarily through statistical forecasting approaches and collaborative/consensus forecasting. The individual in this role will monitor and update the forecast process data for finished goods, contributing to cross-functional inventory planning and customer demand review processes. The Forecast Analyst will validate and organize demand data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and relevance in the forecasting process. The role involves designing and redesigning forecasting processes to adapt to frequent customer-driven changes in demand structure. The analyst will maintain forecasting structural data to ensure proper categorization and will analyze, develop, and maintain a monthly forecast for all finished goods parts. This will be based on order and shipment history, customer point of sale data, market intelligence, and industry trends to inform projected demand. The analyst will lead the monthly collaborative demand review as part of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, working closely with sales, marketing, and product management to understand product life cycles, demand patterns, and short, medium, and long-term forecasts. Additionally, the Forecast Analyst will develop means to detect exceptions in large datasets and design rational responses. They will contribute to continuous improvement efforts to advance the demand planning and forecasting process capabilities, maintaining forecast versus actual history data by customer, product family, channel, geography, and SKU. The role also requires updating and creating standard work process documents as procedures evolve, ensuring that the forecasting process remains efficient and effective.
