In support of this effort, the Ford Racing team is looking for a technical leader with passion for high performing vehicles. Work involves the technical leadership of the Vehicle Hardware team of body interior, body exterior and chassis engineers supporting the Ford Racing vehicles. Body Exterior Systems include the design and release of hoods, fenders, facia systems, black trim and grille systems from studio inceptions to production at suppliers and assembly plants. Body Interior Systems include the design and release of seats, steering wheel, hard-trim and interior appliques from studio inception to production at supplier and assembly plants Chassis Systems include design and release of frames, suspension arms, spring & shocks, wheels & tires and brake hardware. Chassis Systems also include system architecture, road load cascade and brake development. Work involves the technical leadership of the Connected Vehicle Software team of electrical systems, electrical control module, software development, features development, and electrical integration engineers supporting the Ford Racing vehicles. Electrical Systems include the is definition of all the 3-4 dozen module requirements into vehicle electrical systems to validate compatibility from initial layout to assembly plant launch. Electrical Control Module Engineering include the design and release, cascading of functional specifications, software structure and device transmittals & validation. Software Development include design and validation of code to meet functional and customer requirements, work planning and support of calibration efforts. Feature Development include translation from customer requirement to cascade ECU & software requirements through to validation prior to production. Electrical Integration is the management of multiple vehicle programs with various levels of modules and electrical systems architecture to meet program timing milestones. In addition to demonstrated overall Vehicle Hardware and Software engineering experience and problem-solving skills, applicants must possess a passion for performance and strong interest in technology. Applicants will be required to interface with teams that include Ford Racing Vehicle Engineering, Core Ford Hardware and Software Engineering Organizations and several Ford Production Facilities and Chassis Tier 1-3 Suppliers offering numerous opportunities to expand technical knowledge in a wide area of automotive technologies, systems, and components.
