Ford Racing is looking for an experienced, talented, and highly motivated Multi-Body Dynamics Analysis Engineer to join our Powertrain department, located in Allen Park, Michigan. In this position... This role is hybrid and requires at least 4 days per week onsite in Allen Park, MI.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or similar related engineering field.
  • 10+ years of engine and/or driveline development, design or testing experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in multi-body kinematic/dynamic analysis using a commercially available software package e.g. GT-Suite, VALDYN, AVL-Excite, ADAMS, SABR etc.

  • Strong team player, ability to work across functions, and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with high responsibility.
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or similar related engineering field.
  • 10+ years of engine development, design and/or testing experience.
  • Strong overall knowledge of vehicle and powertrain functions
  • Possess a competitive spirit and interest in professional motorsports.
  • International and Domestic travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of high quality and reliable powertrains for all Ford Racing programs (F1, LMDh, GT3 / GT4 Mustang, Production Mustangs and Raptors)
  • Lead the creation and simulation of multi-body physics models to develop motorsports powertrain systems and components such as valvetrain, cranktrain, FEAD, driveline and gear drives.
  • Define and coordinate the physical testing of engines and/or powertrain systems to acquire the data needed to validate models or component designs or similar.
  • Able to interpret simulation/testing results to clearly document and present technical information to team members and non-technical staff.
