About The Position

Work involves the technical leadership of the Electrical Integration team of electrical systems, network communications, connectivity solutions and electrical integration engineers supporting the Ford Racing vehicles. Electrical & Software Engineering Electrical Systems & Integration Systems Engineering Device transmittal and schematics Issue resolution on electrical systems interfaces End of Line Validation on Ford Racing Vehicles Software planning to support program milestones Leverage the Base Program Electrical Systems teams to establish quality systems ECU D&R, Software & HMI & Features Development Define customer require electrical systems interfaces and features to meet expectations Define and document feature requirements & cascade to functional organizations. Supplier selection & and development of FMA & Control Plans for modules CAE and Physical testing evaluation planning and execution on time via bench & vehicle Leverage Ford and Supplier Methods on module and software development Lead the cost and weight targets for CVS Engineering team Lead innovation of these systems that meet enthusiast customer expectations Lead the Ford Racing CVS Engineering delivery of engineering program gateways with high level of engineering excellence for design failure mode analysis, analytical analysis of designs for capability and resolution of issues with problem solving methods for sound root cause analysis Lead transfer of technology and methods from the Ford Racing Production Vehicle to Competition Vehicle and Ford Racing Competition Vehicles to Production Vehicles Deliver technical project presentations to senior management including results and accomplishments, conclusions and recommendations, and lessons learned Established and active employee resource groups

Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Automotive OEM program delivery
  • 2-5+ years in an engineering leadership role
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to work with multiple partners and suppliers, and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with high responsibility
  • Working understanding of Functional requirements, failure mode effects, causes, severity and detection methods (DFMEAs)
  • Ability to develop clear working level documents and management presentations as well as clear/concise communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel to both Ford and supplier domestic and foreign locations
