Requirements
- 2+ years of Service Technician experience required
- Ford Certifications required
- Experience with various transmission types
- Basic computer skills
- Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Responsibilities
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble transmission units.
- Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
- Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
- Execute repairs under warranty to Ford's precise factory specifications.
- Inform Service Advisors of needed repairs, time estimates, and warranty status.
