About the position
The Footwear Coordinator at Sun & Ski Sports is a supervisory role focused on enhancing the customer experience through exceptional service and team leadership. This position involves managing store operations, training staff, and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue while maintaining a fun and engaging environment for both customers and employees.
Responsibilities
- Open and close the store as a supervisory role.
- Ensure the team delivers exceptional customer service that exceeds expectations.
- Train and develop the store team on selling strategies and continuous improvement.
- Increase store sales through effective communication and product knowledge.
- Develop creative plans and strategies to boost store sales through business analysis and action planning.
- Identify problems and opportunities, presenting viable solutions.
- Maintain store visual presentation consistent with company standards.
- Ensure employees follow company policies and procedures.
- Lead and assist with various events, including product knowledge clinics.
- Promote Sun & Ski within the local community.
- Maintain communication with General Manager, District Manager, and Home Office team.
- Manage store expenses and payroll, prioritizing and adapting to business needs.
- Minimize inventory loss and maintain accurate cash control.
Requirements
- 1+ years management experience preferred.
- 2+ years retail experience or experience with snow sports or upscale patio furniture.
- Knowledge of business operations and shrink reduction.
- Talent in networking, recruiting, interviewing, training, and developing others.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for strong working relationships.
- Organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
