The Senior Athletic Assistant, under general supervisions, is responsible for providing support to the Head Football Coach or Assistant Football Coaches as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three years of experience in athletic administration, football recruiting, football operation and/or football coaching experience at high school or colligate level.
  • Proven knowledge of NCAA rules.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use word processing, spreadsheets, and database programs.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills and ability to plan and organize effectively.
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with coordinating all recruiting efforts (game days activities, official visits and unofficial visits, and other Football recruiting events).
  • Assists with the documentation of all forms related to Football recruiting.
  • Maintains up-to-date prospective student-athlete profiles and film profiles on behalf of assigned assistant coach(s).
  • Serves as a liaison between assigned assistant coach(s) and video staff, providing specific video information and statistics as requested.
  • Provides computer break down of video for prospective student-athlete.
  • Organizes and distributes all video.
  • Maintains up-to-date recruiting board on behalf of assigned assistant coach(s).
  • Assists the Football Camp Director with camp logistics.
  • Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations.
  • Establishes and ensures communication and enforcement of rules and regulations concerning student-athlete: conduct, appearance, road games, punctuality, and other areas as deemed appropriate.
  • Maintains awareness of and supports the initiatives of the Athletics Department.
