About The Position
Under the direction of the Sports and Fitness Director, the employee will perform sports/fitness activities (specifically football) and supervise participants of various ages. The employee will teach a variety of classes currently offered within the YMCA Sports Program. Instructors are responsible for developing individual lesson plans, being familiar with various styles of class formats offered, supervising class participants, and leading instructional sessions as well as league games. Additionally, the employee will assist in coaching football practices from ages 7 to 14, develop volunteers with the intention of creating new coaches, supervise the football league to ensure all YMCA rules, policies, and procedures are being followed at all times, maintain football equipment, and officiate games to ensure the safety of the participants.
