About The Position

The Football Head Coach is responsible for leading and managing the high school football program within the Kent School District. This seasonal position requires a commitment to fostering student-athlete development, ensuring compliance with district and WIAA regulations, and promoting a culture of equity, excellence, and community engagement.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age for head coaching positions.
• Valid first aid and CPR certification required.
• Completion of WIAA general rules clinic and sport-specific rule clinic annually.
• Completion of concussion recognition and management training every three years.
• Completion of sudden cardiac arrest awareness training every three years.
• Completion of coaching principles training or equivalent before the third year of coaching.

Nice To Haves

• Experience coaching at the high school level or higher.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with athletic directors and other coaches.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the high school football program.
• Ensure compliance with district and WIAA requirements.

• Complete necessary training and certifications as required by Washington State Law and the district.
