Assists Coaching staff with game planning and strategy to ensure high quality plays and practice.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree and experience with Division I football program as a player or as staff.
  • Ability to project the image of the University of Texas and the Athletics Department with dignity and grace regardless of circumstances and environments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills to enhance interaction with student-athletes, peers, alumni, administrative personnel, and the community.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for identifying weaknesses in plays and suggest new strategies to coaching staff in practice.
  • Responsible for overall game day preparation, statistical analysis, video analysis of opposing teams.
  • Analyze opposing team strategy, chart tendencies and propose strategic plays.
  • Analyze film data on current team and opponents and provide summary report and analysis to coaching staff and players
  • Assist with the coordination of daily administrative support, statistical analyses and opponent preparation within the University of Texas Football Program. This includes, but is not limited to: The coordination of video cutups and distribution of preliminary offensive, defensive, and special teams scouting reports.
  • Assist self scouting offensive, defensive and special team's schemes.
  • Support the walk on program with their research of prospective student athletes.
  • Travel with coaching staff and team to provide statistical support.
  • Assist with special projects assigned by the Defensive Coordinator, Offensive Coordinator and Head Football Coach.
  • May drive a personal, UT, or rental vehicle on and off campus.

  • Annually obtain prior written approval and report all outside activities and outside income.
  • Report knowledge of, or reasonable cause to believe, violation(s) of state or federal laws, policies, rules, or regulations of the University, Conference, or NCAA to IA ARMCS or IA HR.
  • Fully cooperate with any investigation by providing complete and accurate information when requested to do so by Texas Athletics and/or the NCAA and do not influence others in any way during an investigation.
  • In compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and Texas Education Code Sec. 51.252, this position may be a Non-Confidential Employee as defined by University policies on Sex Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, Sexual Assault, Interpersonal Violence and Stalking.
