About The Position

Commercial Foodservice Equipment Maintenance Technician A-1 Restaurant is looking for an experienced Food Equipment Repair Technician. You will be responsible for diagnosis and troubleshooting of systems, operation, maintenance and repair of all makes and models of commercial food equipment. We can promise a new problem will need to be addressed in every service call. Qualified Applicants will have experience in troubleshooting and/or installing the following items but no limited to: Slicers, Ovens, Steamers, Microwaves, Warmers, Heat Elements, Mixers, Fryers, Grills, Beverage Dispensers, Crescor Toasters

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Three to Five years experience in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and correcting diverse commercial food equipment service issues.
  • Basic computer and internet skills/ Smart Phone Capabilities
  • Be available to work nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of our customers.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices) carry ladders; work from heights, and work in small crawl spaces
  • Multi-tasking and good time management skills
  • Valid Drivers license and clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass any and all drug tests required by A-1 Services
  • Maintain accurate time records and send to payroll when required

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots and repairs commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Inspects the commercial kitchen equipment and their related components to ensure safe operation.
  • Communicates with customer and branch office regarding status of repairs to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated with customers.
  • Completes service tickets according to procedures.
  • Performs manual tasks such as: bending, reaching, standing, lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs., or maneuvering heavier items with additional manpower or appropriate devices.
  • Tracks truck stock to ensure needed parts are stocked on vehicle.
  • Sustains service vehicle, tools, and uniforms to Tech24 standards.
  • Sets a positive example for less experienced and/or new technicians by being a Company advocate.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures, particularly regarding safety.
