The foodborne disease group oversees surveillance of all foodborne diseases, investigates approximately 30 foodborne outbreaks a year and participates in many multi-state investigations. The Foodborne disease group has openings for new interns to assist foodborne disease epidemiologists with foodborne illness and outbreak investigations. The candidates would start in May/June 2025 and continue working 20 hours/week during the school year and 35 hours/week during the summer.
