About The Position

The Food Warehouse Order Selector at Fred Meyer is responsible for receiving and shipping merchandise at the Distribution Centers. Requirements

• Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with climatic temperature changes.
• Must pass company required physical, physical strength testing, and drug testing.
• Ability to work days, nights, or evenings on all days of the week including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to perform at least the minimum acceptable levels of performance of Engineered Labor Standards.
• Must be able to work 8 or 10-hour schedules as assigned.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds infrequently, 50 pounds frequently, and 30 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Receive and ship merchandise at the Distribution Centers.
• Check in, unload, and receive all freight for trucks.
• Verify quantity and check receiver against shipping bills.
• Date-mark incoming freight to assure proper rotation of merchandise.
• Operate power equipment including highlift and riding jacks.
• Maintain proper number of load locks for each trailer.
• Place merchandise in storage area in designated places.
• Pull orders for stores from list and transport merchandise to shipping area.
• Load merchandise into proper truck.
• Maintain sanitary conditions in the warehouse by sweeping, mopping, and general clean up.
• Follow established safety procedures and comply with all rules of the department, company, union, and State and Federal laws.
