About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and versatile Food Truck Support team member to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for someone who is adaptable, has a strong work ethic, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. As a Food Truck Support team member, you will assist with a variety of tasks to ensure smooth operations, from food preparation to cleaning and event setup. Your role will be crucial in supporting the Food Truck Cook, Line Cook, and Cashier to deliver excellent food and service. Food Truck Operations: Work in a confined space that requires efficient movement and multitasking. Operate in various weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold, as the food truck is mobile and often serves outdoor events. Handle a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment, particularly during peak service times. Work will be performed both inside and outside on a regular basis, in most weather conditions. Event Assistance: Travel to different locations as needed for events, which may include weekends and evenings. Adapt to different event settings, from intimate gatherings to large festivals, requiring flexibility and a positive attitude. Work collaboratively with event staff and other vendors to ensure a cohesive and successful event experience. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk extended period. The employee occasionally is required to bend, climb, stoop, lift, carry, push, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 15 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Food Handler's Card
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for client meetings and events.
• A satisfactory result obtained through a test for illegal drugs.
• Acknowledge and agree to maintain a drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation and Assembly: Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and marinating meats. Help assemble dishes according to established recipes and quality standards. Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
• Operational Support: Set up and stock the food truck with necessary supplies before service, including utensils, packaging, and condiments. Assist with inventory management, notifying the supervisor of any shortages or needs. Perform regular cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and organized workspace, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of trash.
• Customer Service: Provide friendly and efficient service to customers, assisting with taking orders if needed. Address customer inquiries and special requests with a positive attitude. Assist in resolving customer complaints or issues in a professional manner.
• Event Assistance: Assist in the setup and breakdown of the food truck for events, including loading and unloading supplies. Help with event-specific tasks such as arranging seating, setting up tents, and managing crowd flow. Adapt to varying event environments and manage time effectively to meet service demands.
• Miscellaneous Tasks: Perform any additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor to support the overall operations of the food truck. Flexibly assist with various roles during peak times, including food preparation, cashiering, and customer service. Support team members in ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations, including food safety and sanitation standards.
