The Food Technologist position is aimed at creating new and innovative products that will provide a competitive advantage for Simmons in the marketplace. The role involves researching customer needs, developing and testing new ideas, and providing internal direction to senior management regarding customer expectations. The Food Technologist will also be responsible for drafting product specifications, ensuring accurate product launches, and maintaining R&D inventory. This position requires collaboration with plant personnel and the marketing manager to ensure customer needs are met and to manage test inventory effectively.
