Requirements

High school diploma or GED (required)
Valid driver's license (required)
Experience in commercial food preparation (required)
Ability to obtain SERV Safe certification (Norwescap will support cost of obtaining SERV Safe Certification)
Must be able to lift 45 pounds independently without assistance

Food Protection Managers Certificate or working towards certificate (preferred)

Responsibilities

Responsible meal preparation and for purchasing necessary supplies and food for meal preparation in accordance with Head Start Program Performance Standards and Child Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
Operate, sanitize, and maintain kitchen equipment
Complete paperwork as required according to Head Start and CACFP guidelines
Assist in menu planning
