Job Description Performs a variety of duties to store, control and distribute Food Services material, consumables, and supplies. Reviews work orders to identify items or containers to be moved and determine destination. Receives, stores and distributes material as directed; may update documents or electronic records to reflect material movement. Tasks may include counting, weighing, and recording number of units of material received, transported, or present in a given location. Handles, transports and stores material as necessary to ensure compliance with all applicable storage requirements (e.g. product temperature, storage and handling requirements). Properly identifies and interprets information provided on material labels, tags, and container markings. Rotates stock as necessary to ensure product is allocated for use in accordance with proper facility storage and rotation procedures. May operate equipment and tools to complete assigned tasks. Performs general labor and maintains a clean, safe facility as required. Performs duties in accordance with TB MED 530 and Title 29, Code of Federal Regulation Part 1910.1200, as applicable. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma / GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years related experience
  • Requires the job knowledge, skill level and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.
  • To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions.
