Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Five (5) years of management experience in a food service environment.
  • Requires extensive knowledge of the practices and materials used in food service procedures. Must have successful work history of coordinating the demands of a food service operation, displaying a thorough knowledge of administrative techniques and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated personnel interactions, communication skills, and problem solving techniques.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
  • Must have a valid Arizona driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in institutional cooking in a correctional setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the food service in a creative manner
  • Review menus, supervise food prep and storage, and maintain equipment, records, and sanitation.
  • Develop and implement food services policies and procedures following professional standards and the facility's guidelines.
  • Supervise and inspect the work of other employees.
  • Supervise, train, and inspect detainee food service staff.
  • Supervise, provide training, and inspect work performed by detainee food service staff.
  • Monitor and maintain company quality assurance and control in the food production areas.
  • Manage food service budget (food and equipment inventory) and produce reports.
