At YWCA Greater Cleveland, the Food Services & Delivery Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring women and families in housing and shelter programs receive nutritious meals safely and on time. This hands-on, active part-time position supports operations across multiple sites, focusing on maintaining consistency within the food systems. The role involves splitting time between delivering hot meals and managing food inventory. Key aspects include safely transporting meals between locations while ensuring proper temperature control and timely arrival. The associate will also help maintain clean and orderly pantry and kitchen spaces at each site to facilitate efficient meal service for residents. Additionally, responsibilities include receiving deliveries, inspecting items for quality and freshness, labeling and dating products, and organizing storage areas using First In/First Out (FIFO) rotation practices. Maintaining products at least six inches off the floor, monitoring for damaged goods, and upholding sanitation standards are essential. The position requires an individual who values structure and reliability, capable of working independently, managing time effectively, and communicating clearly with kitchen staff and supervisors regarding inventory or supply needs. Approximately half of the shift involves travel between locations.
