About The Position

The Food Service Worker (FSW) is an entry-level position within the food service department, responsible for preparing and serving quality food products to guests. This role emphasizes excellent customer service, adherence to food safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The FSW will engage with guests, answer menu-related questions, and assist in maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

  • Ability to maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for extended periods.
  • Reliability and dependability by being punctual and adhering to a schedule.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with team members and managers.
  • Physical ability to stand, use hands, stoop, kneel or crouch, and lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds.

  • ServSafe certification desired, but may be obtained after hire.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare sandwiches and other food items to order and in bulk.
  • Greet guests and answer questions about the menu.
  • Prepare food according to standardized recipes and guest orders.
  • Assist the Kitchen Supervisor with the salad bar operation.
  • Execute daily line checks to ensure proper temperatures and quality.
  • Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients.
  • Present, garnish, and arrange final dishes.
  • Serve food and maintain standards for the salad bar operation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment, and dishes.
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards for handling, preparing, and storing ingredients.
  • Review inventory and expiration dates.
  • Clean work areas, equipment, pans, and utensils.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
