About The Position

Perform routine food service tasks in kitchen, cafeteria, and dish room. Assist the shift supervisor in seeing that all sanitation tasks are completed on a daily basis to ensure good consistent service to all customers from a clean and sanitary kitchen facility.

Requirements

• Is able to communicate and respond using the English language.
• No prior training or experience required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down patient tray line for each meal.
• May stock and dismantle condiment and cereal area, replenish paper and china.
• Work in dish room stripping and scrapping.
• Take temperature of dish machine during all meals.
• Work patient tray line.
• Assist delivering late trays as needed.
• Check silverware for cleanliness, sort after run through dishwasher and then run through again.
• Clean and sanitize carts and store for lunch and dinner.
• May carry out trash and mop floor.
• Keep both sides of dish room cleaned and dishes stacked according to diagram.
• Clean dish machine and polish daily.
• Use Lime-A-Way through dish machine once a week.
• Wash pots and pans, change water often.
• Follow department safety and sanitation procedures daily routines.
• Help other workers get their work done by meal times.
• Log dish machine temperature at each meal daily.
• May clean tables, counters, and various types of kitchen equipment, which may include: steam tables.
• May assist with Special Functions.
• Make sure all your areas of responsibility are clean before clocking out.
• Check cleaning schedule for assignment.
• Comply with all rules in employee handbook and check schedule and bulletin board for notices and changes.
• Perform any task asked of you by your supervisor.
