This position is located in the Nutrition and Food Service of the VA Providence Healthcare System. This position is a permanent, full-time position at 40 hours per week. The Food Service Worker WG 3 does tasks with several steps or a sequence of tasks that require attention to work operations. Some duties include: The incumbent has a high level of skills and abilities for providing patient centered care and exceptional customer service. Daily interaction with veterans to obtain menu selections. Work Schedule: Work hours will vary between 0600am-7:30pm; Must be available for any shift as needed. Includes weekends and holidays. Position Description Title/PD#: Food Service Worker 99920S Notification: This is a bargaining unit position. This position is covered by locality-based comparability pay. Selectee may be required to work at any VA Providence Healthcare System campus, as needed. Current and former Federal employees must submit copies of their most recent SF-50, (Notice of Personnel Action). The SF-50 must identify the position title, series, grade, step, tenure and type of service (Competitive or Excepted). In some cases, more than one SF-50 may be required to show a higher grade previously held.
