About The Position

Lemontree Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and friendly Food Service Worker to join our team. The Food Service Worker will assist in the preparation, serving, and cleaning of food and beverages, while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment for guests and staff. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and providing excellent customer service. Shift hours: 6am to 2:30pm Schedule: Mon-Fri

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Food handler certification or ability to obtain within a certain time frame (if applicable).
  • Previous experience in food service, customer service, or a related field preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
  • Ability to follow instructions and handle food safely.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move food supplies, trays, or dishes as required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of food items such as sandwiches, salads, soups, beverages, etc.
  • Serve food and beverages to customers in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring portion sizes and presentation meet quality standards.
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and dishwashers as necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of food prep areas, ensuring all food is stored according to safety guidelines.
  • Provide friendly, efficient, and courteous service to guests.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, or special requests with professionalism.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by ensuring food quality and service meet or exceed expectations.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
  • Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to ensure the safety of all food served.
  • Dispose of waste and recyclables in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the food service area, including dining rooms and serving stations.
  • Assist in stocking food items and supplies for service.
  • Help monitor inventory levels and notify supervisors when items need to be replenished.
  • Ensure food storage areas are clean and organized according to health and safety regulations.
  • Adhere to all company and regulatory policies regarding health, safety, and sanitation.
  • Maintain knowledge of food safety standards, and follow proper procedures for handling, storing, and preparing food.
  • Report any safety concerns or maintenance issues to management.
