About The Position

This part-time position is for a Food Service Worker on the PM shift, paying $13.50 per hour with weekly earned wage access. The primary objective is to prepare, season, and cook food for an eating establishment. The role involves providing food service that meets company standards for ingredient quantity, quality, safety, and consistency, maintaining knowledge of all product offerings, and ensuring fast service and delicious food. Key tasks include preparing food items according to menus and recipes, adjusting thermostat controls for cooking equipment, cleaning and sanitizing work areas and equipment, properly storing food, taking food orders, serving meals to guests, and complying with food and store safety programs. Additionally, the worker will receive products from vendors and document bad merchandise.

Requirements

  • Acquire and maintain Food Handler's certification
  • Be on feet 6+ hours per shift

Responsibilities

  • Provide food service that meets company standards for ingredient quantity, quality, safety and consistency.
  • Maintain knowledge of all product offerings.
  • Ensure fast service and delicious food.
  • Prepare food items per menu and recipes mixing and measuring ingredients according to recipe, using variety of ingredients and kitchen tools, utensils and equipment
  • Adjust thermostat controls to regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, roasters and steam kettles
  • Clean and sanitize work area and food preparation equipment; wash and dry dishes and other cooking utensils used in preparing food
  • Store food in designated areas, using knowledge of time and temperature requirements and food spoilage; document temperature readings
  • Read food orders or receive verbal instructions as to food required by guests
  • Serve meals to guests
  • Comply with food and store safety programs and behaviors to minimize employee and guest injury and illness including hand washing, sanitation, food handling/storage and time and temperature controls.
  • Receive products from venders following correct procedures.
  • Document bad merchandise/write-offs per policy.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
