Job Summary Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, every other weekend, 11:15am-7:45pm. The Food Service Worker performs a variety of functions related to the safe assembly, distribution and service of food for Hospital patients, visitors and staff. Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? Yes
Staff adheres to all I C.A.R.E. Standards.
Must be able to read menu items in English (exception is the pot-washer position).
Must be able to communicate in English (exception is the pot-washer position).
Must be able to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Work requires ability to push trucks and carts with food and supplies.

Responsibilities

Attends department meetings, monthly in-services, training classes, etc as assigned.
Anticipates and meets customer needs; takes appropriate steps to rectify issues.
Maintains cleanliness of work areas.
Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of department equipment.
Demonstrates a positive and friendly attitude.
Adheres to all HACCP standards.
Alerts supervisor to any concerns, discrepancies, product shortages, etc.
Actively supports and upholds department goals to maintain or improve operations and customer satisfaction.
Works in various tray line, cafeteria and kitchen positions. Sets up and stocks food station for meal service. Assembles patient trays and delivers trays from patient rooms.
Cleans station, equipment, and floors at the end of each meal.
Position may include operating dish machine, trash compactor, mopping floors.
Prepares additional food items for patient tray line.
Regularly works on sanitation projects assigned by manager.
Assists with training of new employees as well as cross training of fellow employees.
