About The Position

The Food Service Worker at Marshall Middle School plays a vital role in ensuring

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform manual tasks requiring dexterity.
• Experience in basic food preparation and customer service.
• Capability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Food Service experience preferred/customer service experience desired
• Ability to do simple arithmetic
• Ability to make correct change and use a basic computation device
• Dependable, punctual
• An independent self-starter able to meet deadlines
• Maintain a professional appearance
• Follows food safety requirements/guidelines
• Successfully pass a criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Assist in stocking and organizing food supplies and equipment to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
• Provide courteous and helpful customer service to students and staff, addressing questions and concerns as needed.
• Adapt to changing menu items, schedules, and special dietary requirements with flexibility.
• Stand for extended periods while performing food preparation and service duties.
