About The Position

UW Medicine-Northwest- Food and Nutrition has an outstanding opportunity for a Food Service Worker. WORK SCHEDULE Part time, 50% FTE, 20 hours per week Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-6:30pm Fixed duration; anticipated need is 6 months Day Shift DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Nutrition and Food Services department supports UWMC's mission by delivering extraordinary experiences with compassionate evidence-based care, unforgettable customer service, and fresh and nutritious food for patients, families, and the greater community. Requirements

• Possession of, or eligible to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks of employment.

Responsibilities

• Receive payment by credit cards, cash, or vouchers
• Issue refunds
• Answer customer questions
• Maintain orderly and clean checkout areas
• Greet customers entering cafeterias
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Make sure checkout stations are fully stocked
• Prepare coffee
• Restock merchandise
• Clean and wipe tables
