About The Position

Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA, is hiring a Food Service Worker I. This is a full time, rotating shift position with rotating weekends. Hours Monday - Friday: must be available to work an 8-hour shift between the hours of 6am - 7:30pm Rotating Weekends Overview Food Service Workers are essential members of the food services team who offer support to the team and contribute in multiple ways, such as delivering nutritious meals and providing excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors. This position entails various responsibilities, including but not limited to preparing and assembling food according to dietary guidelines, safety and customer preferences, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, washing dishes, working as a cashier, meeting utility needs, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld. As a Food Service Worker with Sentara, you work in the different aspects of delivering food to the patients. Sentara CarePlex Hospital, located in Hampton, VA, is a 224-bed technologically advanced, acute care facility, and Certified Primary Stroke Center. Other features include specialized services in heart and vascular, urologic care, along with advanced diagnostic and surgical capabilities, a hospitalist program, and one of the state's busiest emergency departments. Requirements

• High School Grad or Equivalent
• 1 year of food service experience required in lieu of High School Education.
• Food Handlers Card (Required)
