About The Position

The Food Service Worker performs nutrition service functions throughout the cafeteria and patient food service areas. The Food Service Worker assists with food preparation and serving of food, sanitation of the kitchen, cleaning of utensils and dishes, rubbish disposal, stocks patient care floor nutrition items. The Food Service Worker prepares and delivers trays to patients in the care of the facility. Ability to learn (POS) point of sale register and other electronic equipment. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Some post-secondary education is preferred.
• One (1) year experience in healthcare and/or large-scale food preparation is strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

• National Restaurant Serve-Safe Certification is strongly preferred.
