About The Position
The Food Service Worker is responsible for providing meals and ensuring food safety inside the jail facility. This position is with Selrico Services Inc. and is located in San Antonio, Texas. Full- time AND Part-Time positions are available.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in a food service setting, preferably within a correctional facility
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Basic math skills for portion control and inventory management
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals, following appropriate portion sizes and dietary restrictions
- Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the food preparation and serving areas
- Assist with inventory management, stocking supplies, and maintaining kitchen equipment
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operation of the food service department
