About The Position

As part of the Telecare Family, Morton Bakar Center is a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) providing psychosocial rehabilitation and skills-building support for older adults (ages 65+) with a primary diagnosis of severe mental illness. Shifts Available: On Call; Shift Hours and Days vary as needed Wage range $21 – Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements. Shift differentials for hourly staff (6% for PM Shift, 10% for Overnight Shift). Weekend Shift differentials for hourly staff (5% for Weekend AM Shift, 11% for Weekend PM Shift, 15% for Weekend Overnight Shift) POSITION SUMMARY The Food Service Worker assists in the preparation, assembly, and of food within the facility. In addition, the Food Service Worker ensures that the facility’s’ dietary and dining room areas are clean and meet sanitary regulations at all times.

Requirements

• Willingness to perform tasks on a continuous basis and to maintain the specified flow of work
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment
• All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, valid driver license, a motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment. Additional regulatory, contractual, or local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the Telecare mission, purpose, values, and beliefs in everyday language and contact with internal and external stakeholders
• Performs tasks correctly and according to policies and procedures
• Thoroughly and consistently performs the following food service tasks o Loads and tends the dish washing machine o Hand washes non-machine equipment o Assembles prepared food o Delivers and stores clean dishes, pots and utensils in the appropriate area o Assists in the preparation of salads and desserts o Delivers food to service areas of members served o Assists in serving meals to members served in the cafeteria o Obtains necessary supplies from food storage, the refrigerator, and the freezer o Stocks food supplies and food preparation equipment in storage areas o Performs assigned cleaning tasks
• Demonstrates knowledge and proper use of equipment and supplies
• Continually focuses on assigned tasks and seeks and implements improvements as necessary
• Understands and demonstrates the safety program in all activities
