This position serves as a member of the food service team, performing various duties including food preparation, cleaning, patient tray-line service, and retail café operations. Team members are responsible for setting up work stations, preparing foods according to portion control and quality standards, cleaning and sanitizing dishes and equipment, maintaining inventory par levels, and monitoring food and equipment temperatures. Additional duties may include delivering meals to patient units, assisting with catering or special events, and handling cash register transactions when applicable. This position works as a member of the food service team on one or more assignments in cleaning, food preparation, patient trayline or retail café. Provides service and assistance to patients, staff and other customers in accordance with established dietary and retail cafe policies and procedures.
