About The Position

Food Services Worker Position Summary: Performs a wide range of duties involved with preparing and/or serving foods and beverages in a kitchen operation for residential facility for children and adolescents.

Requirements

• If less than high school degree or equivalent, at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted California driver’s license.
• Must be able to successfully complete and maintain required certifications and training.

Nice To Haves

• Prior work in food service environment and prior work with youth, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning as scheduled.
• Receive delivery of and put food and supplies away after receipt.
• Ensure safe handling and correct rotation of food items (first in, first out).
• Time is to be used effectively to ensure that duties are completed according to the schedule.
• Department and facility procedures are correctly followed for safety, sanitation, and cleaning schedules.
• Properly wash and store dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Assist in food preparation and delivery.
• Assemble and deliver cottage supplies according to the posted standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
