Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform manual tasks requiring dexterity.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students and staff.
  • Ability to do simple arithmetic
  • Ability to make correct change and use a basic computation device

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a food service or cafeteria environment.
  • Certification in food handling or sanitation.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed during the school year.
  • Food Service experience preferred/customer service experience desired

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks according to established menus and portion sizes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation and serving areas in compliance with health regulations.
  • Operate cash registers and handle monetary transactions accurately during meal service times.
  • Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
  • Provide courteous and helpful customer service to students, staff, and visitors during meal service.
  • Stand for extended periods while performing food preparation and service duties.
  • Follow all safety protocols to prevent food contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
